How to choose the appropriate hammer head ?

The wear conditions of hammer head is related to many factors, such as material properties (particle size, type, hardness, moisture content, temperature, etc.), the linear velocity of hammer head and the size of grate,etc.Through long-term tracking experiment, experts of Zhengzhou Great Wall Heavy Industry Machinery Co., Ltd. concluded that the selection of hammer head material is related to the size of the crusher model, and give the following Suggestions:
1.The large hammer crusher which feed particle size is 400 mm or more,should adopts the big hammer head that single weight more than 50-125 kg . because of the huge impact strength, mainly choose high toughness of high manganese steel, also can choose alloying of high manganese steel.
2.The small and medium-sized hammer crusher which feed particle size is less than 200 mm,mostly use the hammer head that single weight under 50 kg. because the impact strength is relatively small, the work hardening ability of the ordinary high manganese steel cannot give full play, therefore not wear-resisting, you should choose to limit the carbon content of high manganese steel and Low and medium carbon alloy steel.
3.The small hammer crusher which feed particle size is under 50 mm,mostly use the hammer head that single weight under 15 kg, the impact is more small, because the impact strength is small ,it is not appropriate to chooses high manganese steel, you can choose medium carbon alloy steel, or can choose composite casting hammer head.
4.The fine crusher which feed particle size is below 100 mm, because the impact strength is moderate, you should choose high toughness high chromium cast iron, because of its hardness > HRC60, the impact toughness > ak8J/cm2,its service life can be increased by 3 ~ 5 times than high manganese steel.
