Jaw crusher and hammer crusher are all the most important equipment in mining industry, mainly used for ore crushing,though they are crusher,but they also have different features,today we will analysis the two different kinds of crusher,in order to help customers to make a better choice when selecting a crusher.
The difference between the jaw crusher and hammer crusher
1)Application scope:
Jaw crusher is widely used for crushing of all kinds of minerals and rocks with compressive strength less than 320 MPa,such as iron ore, copper ore, gold ore, manganese ore, river stone, gravel, granite, basalt, minerals, quartz, diabase, etc.;
Hammer crusher is widely used crushing materials with middle or less than middle hardness into secondary or fine granularity. Such as, barite, limestone, terrazzo, silica sandstone, coal, coke, gypsum, aluminum sulfate, slag, etc.
2)Broken degree:
The hammer crusher is widely used in the industry of mining, building materials, chemical industry, metallurgy ,etc.The maximum compressive strength of the material to be broken less than 150kg / cm ², discharging granularity for 10-19 mm or less;And jaw crusher has high crushing ratio, uniform end product size, simple structure, crushing various materials with compressive strength not more than 350 MPa,discharging granularity adjustment between 10-90mm.
3)The working principle:
When the jaw crusher is working,the dynamic jaw moving from side to side is hung on the mandrel. When the eccentric shaft is turning, its connecting rod moves up and down, which also drives the two thrust plates to do the same movement. Then the dynamic jaw moves from side to side to realize crushing and unloading.
In the hammering machine, the motor drives the rotor to rotate at a high speed through the belt, and on the rotor there are series of hammers. When the materials get into the working area of hammers, the rotating hammers with high rotation speed will crush them, the crushed products meeting the required size can be discharged by the outlet and become the final products.
